Hotel Metamorphis in Prague 1 is located just a few steps from Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, in the very heart of Prague’s historical center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This four-star hotel is part of the historically significant area of the original Ungelt fortification – Týn Courtyard, which served to protect merchants and their goods.

The history of this area dates back to the 9th century. In the 12th century, lively trade flourished here, ensuring economic prosperity at the crossroads of European trade routes.

The current appearance of the Týn Courtyard was significantly influenced by the architect P. I. Bayer after 1689, when Ungelt largely burned down.

Originally, there were three houses here, one of which was called the Blue House. It is in this house that the Hotel Metamorphis is now located, offering an impressive combination of modern comfort and services with the historical atmosphere of Prague’s Old Town.
